Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! As if we don’t have enough bookstagram and book blogs, yet here I am (my name is Colette, that’s probably a useful bit of information) bringing you another…
So what is Stacks&Stories? For me, as I’m sure the name suggests, I love to read. If I don’t have a book on the go my friends and family know that there’s probably something up, that I’m stressed out or have a lot on my mind. Books are my escape, the thing that keeps me sane. I want to talk to you about the ‘Stacks’ of books I have to read and the ‘Stories’ I encounter whilst doing so. Each month we'll be telling you about what I've read and what my favourite book was of this month. Maybe you'll have read it too or maybe it'll give you some reading inspo. From fiction to non-fiction, recent releases to those books that have been on your TBR (to be read) pile begging you to pick them up!
I won't just be telling you about the books I read! You'll also find discussions on our favourite things from the month, authors we love and issues that we care about or have caught our attention! You'll be finding ‘Stories’ of people, of products, of life in general taking place, because as much as I adore books and reading, that isn’t all that drives me; I care about feminism, mental health, social justice, equality and more. I’m also a skincare junkie, a podcast devotee and I can binge watch tv just like the best of us. None of us have ‘one thing’ we’re interested in or care about, therefore ‘Stacks and Stories’ will focus on books but don’t be surprised when I veer off to discuss a feminist issue or the latest skincare product that I won’t just up about.
I have some things I’d like to bring to this space, but I’ll keep those to myself for now…aka let’s see if I can actually pull it off first!
If you ever have any book recommendations, something you’d like to discuss or you’d just like to chat, hit up the comments because I’d love to hear from you. You can also find me at @stacksandstories on Instagram, I'd love to chat with you!
